Hello! If this is the first time you're hearing about us, do check out the About Us page. We had our first ever live event, an orientation session for the entire IIT Delhi community, on 1st February, 2021. We spoke about our vision for the club, the activities we plan to conduct and why we believe students should explore the fields of AI and ML. We received a diverse response to the club, with both UG and PG students, as well as some faculty joining for Prof. Pal's talk.

The event featured Professor Sankar Kumar Pal, ex-Director of ISI Calcutta and Padma Shri awardee as the Chief Guest. Prof. Pal gave an insightful talk on his journey of more than 45 years in these fields, having seen the rise as well as fall of various ideas in academia and industry. The talk was filled with extraordinary breakthroughs and simple-yet-powerful ideas used by Prof. Pal throughout his career. The title of the talk was : Pattern Recognition, Machine Intelligence to Data Science: Evolution and Challenges (A Journey Over 45 Years).
